Hi folks, my name is Steve and I'm a Certified Master Inspector. I perform residential and commercial inspections in 12 northern New Jersey counties. By the way, did you know that anyone can become a "Licensed" inspector in New Jersey as long as you go to a "Home Inspector" school and pass a test? Did you know that you're not even required to have construction experience?

Well, I have construction experience, and lots of it!

In fact, I got into the construction industry in my teen years framing houses. I continued working with quality contractors who were building new homes, additions, renovations and remodels. I then started a residential and commercial construction business in 1986.

The Inspection

The decision to buy a home is no small deal. The process can be scary, stressful, and confusing, especially for first time home buyers. I understand this and as an inspector, my goal is to reduce your stress by supplying answers to your questions and providing detailed information about the home you are looking to purchase.

I encourage all my clients to accompany me throughout the entire inspection. During the inspection I will point out the "good", not just the "bad", and observed material defects will be in the inspection report. I want to make your purchase decision easier and I am always available to answer any questions you may have, even long after the inspection process is over.

All inspections adhere to the strictest Standards of Practice set forth by the State of New Jersey Home Inspection Advisory Committee.

I will never offer a "Check List" style inspection report. Our reports are customized with photos, narrative style comments, descriptions, definitions, helpful tips, and useful web links. The report is proof read several times before being finalized, however, it is possible that you may encounter a typographical or other error. Please know that if you should come across a typo or anything that does not make sense, we urge you to contact us for any clarification and if necessary, a new report will be generated immediately.
